WHERE'S THE FOLLIES?
Charlie Hall's OCEAN STATE FOLLIES, a four-person comedy cabaret poking fun at RI and its politics, ran for over 25 years garnering several BEST OF RI awards. Audiences reveled in skits on the RI accent, local hairdressers and the scandals-du-jour. The show has been on hiatus for the past few years as Charlie has teamed up with fellow "follie" Doreen Collins in a new offering, "Aging Disgracefully". Is the Follies' show gone forever? Well, you never know. However Charlie often resurrects his classic bits when he does his stand-up comedy around the state. And his take on all things Rhody can be seen weekly in almost all area newspapers where his political cartoons live on.
Once in a while he's asked to do a "mini-Follies" (one or 2 people) for a special event.
